Things are moving along! The music for our debut release is complete and we are currently working on vocals. We have been having a great time with the recording process and hope that will shine through in the music itself. In Aug we have a friend of the band coming out to record a short documentary on the band and our first album. As you might have already expected our E.T.A. for the album has been pushed back a bit. We hope to have the finished product available within the next few months.
We finished up the Warped Tour Battle Of The Bands in first place for San Diego. In the end we were more than 5,500 votes over any other local act! Thanks so much to everyone who continued to vote everyday. Live shows will resume in SD in the oncoming weeks. The band also has plans to play in L.A. with good friends and local talent Interim Divine in or around October. The band has been working hard to get things ready for the recording process. The studio is looking fantastic and at this point it's about time to set up our recording schedule. We will be posting videos and pictures regularly here in the blog once we are all set up.
In Warped Tour news, we are just about to break the 14,000 mark onbattleofthebands.com. We thank everyone who continues to vote each and every day! After seeing us in the #1 spot in San Diego a writer from Kush magazine contacted us for a piece he's doing on the battle. He came out to our last practice and interviewed us for next month's issue. We announced our S.I.R.(Smodcast Internet Radio) Contest this week! We partnered up with Kevin Smith and his new morning radio show "Jay and Silent Bob Get Jobs". The winner receives a special edition copy of our latest release! To enter sign up to our mailing list. Shows coming up include Brick By Brick on the 9th of June and the San Diego Rock n' Roll Marathon on June 5th. Hope to see you all there! We are happy to announce that the first official Divided By Design album is set to release this summer in July.
